Collection 07
Siempre vuelvo a esta versión de mi2023
Paintings made when I was 17, feeling on top of the world, feeling everything was fine, and finding excitment in everything. Naive and romantic Camila, I always come back to you, to the way you see the world, to the way you feel. These paintings are a love letter to that version of myself, and a reminder that we carry all our versions within us.
Collection 08
In Your Eyes2023
They say the eyes are the window to the soul. These paintings explore the stories we carry in our gaze, the way we see ourselves and others, and the emotions that flicker behind our eyes.
Collection 09
Perspective2022–2023
Geometry and not taking it too seriously. An exploration of perspective as a way to play with space, form, and the way we see the world.
Collection 10
Mis Raíces2021–2022
A return to origins. Works celebrating family, landscape, coffee, and the birds that inhabit the mountains of Colombia.
Collection 11
Blanco y Negro2021
Studies in contrast and simplicity. Black and white as a way to strip down to essence, to find form in its purest state.
Collection 12
Red Doodles2021
Spontaneous marks and studies. Sketchbook pages that celebrate the joy of line and color without the weight of intention.
Collection 13
Yellow2015
I love yellow. These works are studies I did as a teen, and I always come back to the way I experienced art back then. Drawing thousands of art pieces, obsessed with the process of making.
The Artist
About

Camilalonart is a Colombian multidisciplinary artist and engineer whose work is rooted in storytelling through everyday moments. She is drawn to what often goes unnoticed: shifting light, subtle gestures, and fleeting instants that quietly hold emotion and meaning. Her practice is focused on painting, working across different materials, from oil paint and watercolors to chalk.
As an artist who moved to Canada, she carries a deep appreciation for this place while holding onto fragments of where she comes from. That in-between space informs how she observes, remembers, and creates. One of the themes she explores in her work is migration and the inner journey of self-discovery, reflecting on identity, belonging, and transformation
With a background in engineering, she brings a quiet sense of structure into her intuitive process, exploring the space where the logical and the emotional coexist.
For her, making art is also a practice of presence, a way of slowing down and noticing the small details that turn ordinary moments into something quietly meaningful.
